Maple Fuels provides “the same old feeling” in bigger premises

By Tara Nelson

Maple Fuels has always been known for their giant sandwiches and locally roasted organic coffee. Now, the long-time favorite fueling station has more than tripled in size.

Owner Bethnie Morrison said she and her husband have added 5,500 square feet of selling space, a new seating area, wireless internet and an expanded selection of groceries. That includes meats from Sundance meats, fresh produce, natural foods, and a large wine selection. They’ve also included a new hardware and plumbing section.

“It’s the same old feeling that everyone has known but it’s just bigger and better,” she said. “And now people can come and sit and have a cup of coffee and connect to the internet.”

Morrison also said she has plans to stretch the deli counter and give the interior of the original section of store a facelift in the near future.
“Hopefully by Thanksgiving we’ll have that achieved,” she said.
Maple Fuels is open daily from 6 a.m. to 9 p.m. and is located at 7797 Silver Lake Road in Maple Falls. They can be reached by calling 360/599-2222.
