Hosted by Mount Baker Experience at Aslan Brewing Company, the premiere of Days of My Youth is the kickoff party for the winter season. Teton Gravity Research and Red Bull Media House have been working on this movie for two years, filming all over the world with a select crew of elite athletes including Richard Permin, Michelle Parker, Bobby Brown, Markus Eder, Cody Townsend, Mark Abma, Banks Gilberti, Sam Anthamatten, James Heim and Sander Hadley.
The party will feature not only the main show on Aslan’s big screen, but also a raffle and silent auction with excellent swag from G3, Skevik Skis, LibTech, Gnu, 4FRNT, Bern, Roxa, Mountain Hardware, K2, Panda Poles, Karakoram, Grant Gunderson, Backcountry Access, Helly-Hansen, Mountaineers Books and more. Door prizes, drink specials and live music will round out the festivities before the show.
The whole event is to support two very worthwhile causes: Northwest Weather and Avalanche Center (NWAC) and Snohomish County Helicopter Rescue Squad (SCHRT). Everytime you head out of bounds to ski or snowboard in the Mt. Baker backcountry, you (hopefully) know the avalanche report thanks to the tireless efforts of NWAC, a non-profit service that keeps us safe and stoked in our winter adventures. If the unthinkable happens, SCHRT are the people who save lives by heli-vacing victims to the nearest hospital. Both lifesaving organizations deserve our support. All proceeds from the event, minus the fees to license the movie and a tip-out to the fantastic staff at Aslan, will go to NWAC and SCHRT.
Sample Aslan’s amazing selection of dank, fully organic beers while partying with the rowdiest powderhounds in the northwest to ring in our favorite season and support two awesome causes. Entry is free with a suggested donation of $10.
