Did you know that the upper Nooksack River system is home to all five species of Pacific salmon? Did you know that the upper Nooksack River has amazing whitewater boating, bald eagles and wildlife galore? But, amazingly, the upper Nooksack River lacks real protections from dams and other threats.
Come learn about efforts to permanently protect the upper forks of the Nooksack River as “Wild and Scenic” on Saturday, September 6th at Graham’s Restaurant in the town of Glacier. Members of the Nooksack Wild & Scenic steering committee are hosting a Mixer Night from 6:30-8:30pm to share information about the Nooksack River and the importance of protecting this treasure. The Mixer is free to attend and there will be food and drink specials available for purchase.
