In an effort to promote backcountry safety through social media, American and Canadian avalanche centers along with other organizations in the ski and snowboard industry are promoting a video contest called Know the Snow. They are looking for four-minute submissions that tell the story of how you and your crew prepare for a day of backcountry skiing and snowboarding.
