Starting off on USFS Road 37, Skyline Divide offers supreme, 360 degree views for a moderate effort. With wildflowers, berries and spectacular scenery it's no wonder this is one of the most popular hikes in the Mt. Baker area.
From the trailhead, climb steadily for two miles through forest and enter the Mt. Baker Wilderness as you break out into open alpine meadows, The trail meanders for another 1.5 miles along the ridge. An unmaintained path that is a little more challenging continues along Chowder Ridge.
