Alaska Airlines North Bend Iron Horse Traverse

Alaska Airlines North Bend Iron Horse Traverse, a fun relay race that celebrates the journey of wild salmon. Families, friends and local companies form Chinook (solo), Coho (tandem) and CHUM (relay teams) to paddle on open water, ride downhill on the Iron Horse Trail, ride the winding backroads and run through scenic parks. Have fun with your friends and compete with the best–everyone is welcome to participate in this beloved community event.

This fun event travels through and finishes at the Third Annual Adventure Sports Festival in downtown North Bend. The two family events attract thousands of participants and spectators each year. Surrounding the finish, enjoy mountain adventure based features like a Zip Line, Climbing Wall, kids zone, exhibitors  from all disciplines of mountain sports with all the latest gear, healthy lifestyle exhibitors along with local North Bend businesses.

Friday, August 28th 

3:00 pm – 7:30 pm Packet Pick-up (TBD)

Only 1 person from your team needs to come to packet pickup. Come pick up your numbers, timing chip, Traverse pint cups and other goodies. We’ll also have Traverse T-shirts for sale.

Saturday, August 29th

Here’s the rundown on what’s happening during the day.

6:30 am – 7:30 am  Packet Pick-up (TBD)

6:00 am – 8:00 am  Equipment Staging at Transitions

8:00 am Informational Meeting at Start

8:30 am  Traverse START

9:30 am – 10:30 am Watch the Traverse Transitions at Keechelus Lake

12:30 am – 3:30 pm   Watch the Traverse Finishers
