Boulder River Hike

Mar 21, 2015

This is a relatively easy hike off the Mountain Loop Highway along the Boulder River and into the Baker River wilderness. Waterfalls and old growth trees are along the trail. The trail can get a bit muddy. 8.6 miles round-trip, elevation gain 700 ft., highest point 1,550 ft. The trip may be cut a bit short if there is snow at the higher elevations. Decent National Forest gravel road to the trailhead. There is a vault toilet a mile in from the turnoff on French Creek Road, but no facili-ties at the trailhead. We will leave from Sunnyland School at 9:00 am. Northwest Forest Pass or National Parks pass required. This hike might be cancelled due to adverse weather. Contact Jennie and Steve for more information at 360-656-5216 or toste-ve@mac.com. Carpool cost about $5.00
