Ridley Creek Trail Volunteer Work Party

FreeSaturday May 30th – Ridley Creek Trail Volunteer Work Party: Help rebuild the historic Ridley Creek Trail on Mt. Baker. Original-ly known as the Deming Mt. Baker Trail it was built in 1909 and was the inspiration for the 1911-1913 Mt. Baker Marathon and the formation of the Mt. Baker Club. Abandoned for over a decade, last fall the trail was cleared of downed trees by the Forest Ser-vice and work began to rebuild it. Tools will be provided; bring gloves and a lunch. Round trip 3 miles. Depart from Sunnyland School at 8:00 a.m. for carpooling. Suggested carpool fee- $5, or meet at the Ridley Creek trail head at 9:30 we’ll wrap up around 3:00pm.
