This cool little NASA video is about how Earth-observing satellites have shaped our knowledge of the planet’s climate, atmosphere, land, polar regions and ocean. Best of all, it starts with the famous “Earthrise” moment, when Apollo 8 astronaut Bill Anders sees the earth rising above over the horizon of the moon and is awestruck by the beauty of our planet.
