Bellingham Traverse relay race is looking for volunteers

Posted

Recreation Northwest, the organization behind the Vital Choice Bellingham Traverse, is still looking for a few volunteers to help time and direct racers for the relay this weekend. This year marks the 15th anniversary of the traverse, which sends teams of racers through Bellingham's park's trails and waterways on foot, by bike and by paddle.

The race raises money to improve trails in the Fairhaven Community Forest, where Recreation Northwest is planning to build a wetland boardwalk to better connect the trails to Fairhaven Park.
